Job description

We are seeking an experienced carpenter needed for a company focused on quality and integrity. In an industry that is driven by quantity we are driven by quality. The perfect individual must have a good attitude and work well with others as it is important that you are a team player, willing to learn and to continue to add to one's skillset. We focus on commercial construction; Thus, this person must have significant previous carpenter experience. The right candidate lives in Melbourne, Orlando, Tampa or Jacksonville and is willing to travel.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Commercial Carpenter experience 3+ years (Preferred)
  • Able to travel
  • Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety
  • Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
  • Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials

Responsibilities:

  • Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials
  • Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required
  • Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws
  • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Ability to assemble/build scaffolding and other needed construction structure
  • Ability to multitask and stay focused
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Salary : $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
