Carpentry Assistant Superintendent (Direct Hire – Superior Skilled Trades)

Pay: $35–$45 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Carpentry Assistant Superintendent for a direct hire opportunity in the Madison, WI area. This role involves supporting and leading field operations on commercial and retail construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry skills and experience overseeing job sites, coordinating subcontractors, and managing project phases from start to finish.
Assist in supervising daily activities on active job sites
Direct and coordinate subcontractors and field crews
Understand project phasing and ensure work progresses according to schedule
Perform hands-on carpentry tasks, including framing and finish carpentry
Maintain jobsite organization, safety, and quality standards
Communicate effectively with internal teams and project stakeholders
Strong background in carpentry, including both framing and finish work
Experience running or assisting in running construction jobsites
Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple phases of construction
Commercial and retail new build/remodel experience preferred
No specific state licenses or certifications required
Indoor work environments across various project sites in the Madison area
No travel outside the local project radius required
