Truth Design Build is looking for a professional, organized and self-motivated Jr. Designer who has 1-2 years minimum of residential design experience and who can thrive in an intimate, but fast-growing firm. Candidates must be good at multitasking, organized, energetic, eager to learn, and also be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Junior Designers assists the Senior Designer with the design development of residential interiors to create tailored, purposeful spaces that elevate the lives of our clients.The Junior Designer will contribute to the success of the firm by assisting with all aspects of design development, sourcing, meeting preparation, technical drawings, renderings, data entry, and sample library. Candidates should be able to work within existing systems and help create new systems for continued success. Must be adaptable and able to successfully function with lots of balls in the air!

This position will be primarily in-office (in South Denver at Colorado Blvd. and Yale) but will require travel to job sites (within the Denver Metro area) on an as- needed basis

What You Bring

Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Able to provide references.
  • Must present a portfolio of design work to be considered.
  • Completion of minimum of a 2 year design school degree program in interior design.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years residential design experience moving a project through design in preparation for construction.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Suit, AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat,
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized; working on multiple projects at a time.
  • Experience with quotes, proposals, budgets, purchase orders and purchasing process
  • Must be able to assist in communication with vendors, trade partners, contractors, and internal team members.
  • Strong work ethic, prioritization and time management skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and a creative problem solver.
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and in written correspondence.
  • A keen eye for detail

Preferred

  • BA or BS in Interior Design or related field.
  • Experience in 3D modeling and rendering with a preference for Sketchup and Enscape.
  • Experience in Photoshop and SketchUp.
  • Experience in BuilderTrend project management software.
  • Experience in 2020 and Order Express Cabinetry Software.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate on concept, schematic and design development with Senior Designer, Architectural Designer, Architect, and build team.
  • Work closely with Senior Designer to create custom designs.
  • Update quotes, proposals, budgets, and selections data entry into our project management software related to finish materials
  • Organize and manage the sample library.
  • General product research and finish material sourcing. Knowledge of local vendors is a plus.
  • Prepare for client presentations by creating digital mood boards, renderings, drawing sets, and physical sample presentations.
  • Follow up with vendors on lead times and quotes.
  • Placing finish material orders in coordination with the design and construction schedules
  • Type up and organize meeting notes, project status, deliverables, etc.
  • Assist in the photography of projects as well as award submittals.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of deliverables for each project: construction documentation, renderings, material boards, specification binders and lookbooks.
  • Other administrative responsibilities as assigned.
