Operational Readiness:  Ensure thorough technical preparation  before  and organized clean-up  after  all events to guarantee seamless transitions.

Maintenance and Documentation:  Implement scheduled and necessary maintenance of technical systems, proactively suggest and implement technical improvements, and contribute to department-wide safety and efficiency by writing work instructions that codify agered-upon and safe house practices for all theatrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities: Service & Collaboration

This role is a central point of contact requiring excellent interpersonal and service-oriented skills:

Service-Oriented Collaboration:  Collaborate effectively and professionally with a diverse array of internal departments, visiting artists, and campus partners to support a thriving performing arts center.

Client Relationship Management:  Provide exceptional technical service, working closely with external clients (visiting artists and local groups) to facilitate the successful and safe presentation of live events.

Mentorship and Supervision:  Hire, manage, train, schedule, and supervise a team of 7–13 student stagehands during the academic year (and 2 in the summer), including training and fostering a positive and safe working environment.
