Job Description

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a  Property Administrator.  This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Assist the Government Furnished Property (GFP) Manager with coordinating, managing, issuing, and procuring all acquisition-related property.
• Support management of GFP/Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) at contractor locations in coordination with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). Duties include periodic spot checks, inventories, review of contractor GFE reports, providing dispositions in accordance with the Product Support Manager, and ensuring proper disposal of excess via the Plant Clearance Automated Reutilization Screening System (PCARSS).
• Review and update Contract Requirement Packages (CRP) for GFP/GFE requirements and manage DD610.
• Ensure accountable property records are kept current, reflecting the status, location, and condition of assets until authorized disposition occurs. Ensure all assets in possession of external organizations are managed in the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
• Serve as a backup for Installation Property Management for acquisition-related property acquired by the Government Customer.
• Perform market research, obtain quotes, and assist in procurement functions.
• Prepare and support physical Equipment Turn-Ins and equipment transfers, generating DD Form 1149s supporting the Government Customer.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• MA/MS degree and 3-7 years of relevant work experience.
• Prior knowledge of Contract Data Requirement Lists pertaining to property and a good understanding of Army property regulations.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of GFP/GFE Systems, including DPAS and PCARSS, is desired.
