Job Description

Our AT&T Hotel's F&B Team is looking for their next Host for our Carillon Restaurant, AM Shift ONLY! 

This is an AM role, M-F and weekends are needed. The typical shift is from 6AM to 2:30PM (including a 30-minute unpaid meal).

Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:
To ensure all guests are greet and seated in a friendly and courteous manner using the following appropriate procedures, in accordance with Flik Hospitality Standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

1. Assist managers in opening and closing.
2. Answering phone calls.
3. Seating guests.
4. Control heavy volume, fast-pace at Restaurant entrance.
5. Knowledge of hotel property
6. Inform the guests about buffets and specials
7. Attend to and anticipate guests’ needs.
8. Familiarization with menu.
9. Introduce server to guest.
10. Greeting guests.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the company.

 

1. Monitor special requests for guests
2. All other reasonable requests as required

OTHER DUTIES
Assimilate into The AT&T Hotel & Conference Center, the Family PLATINUM SERVICE culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of PLATINUM SERVICE. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Flik from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

• Ability to arrive to work on time and when scheduled.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite, Micros, and OpenTable is highly preferred
• Be flexible concerning scheduling needs and requirements.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
We strongly prefer someone who is at time, comfortable working under pressure (front-of-house), can handle high volume and fast paced mornings, and has previous Host experience. They must be comfortable with computer systems such as Microsoft, OpenTable, and Micros.
