Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Software Engineer. In this role, you will work within a team of software engineers to design, develop, test and maintain C-130J & C-5 software products. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of at least one programming language, familiarity with an Agile development environment, and have good communication and organizational skills.
Must be a US Citizen; this position may require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications: - Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with software programming coursework
- Experience with at least one of the following software development languages required: C, C++, C#, Java, or Ada
Must be a US Citizen; this position may require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills: - Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodology
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment, including peer programming
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
