Manufacturing Engineer | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
• Support new product introduction by defining manufacturing methods and ensuring smooth transition to production.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications.
• Evaluate, select, and specify manufacturing equipment to improve production capabilities.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tooling, fixture design, or plant layout.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex manufacturing problems, propose solutions, and implement process improvements.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with robotic programming and automation integration.
• Proficiency in advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, discrete event simulation).
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing scale-up.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) for process optimization.
